The spectacular Thunder Over Louisville fireworks extravaganza and air show is one of the most popular events of the annual Derby Festival. Other events include sporting contests such as golf and basketball tournaments, hot air balloon events, food and drink festivals, a steamboat race on the Ohio River and a half and full marathon event. This is a great time to be in Louisville with all kinds of unusual entertainments and attractions taking place.
