Stanley G. Priest began the company in 1955. His reputation was earned by his hard work. Born into a farming family of Jonesboro, Arkansas, he developed polio. The struggle to overcome the crippling disease, for him, was just the beginning of the hard work that carried throughout his life.

As a teen he was a member of 4-H, earning a certificate recognized by the Department of Agriculture. Attending Arkansas State College, he was President of the student newspaper, a charter member of Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was chosen to have his biography published in the Who's Who Among Students In American Universities. Graduating from Arkansas State with a B.S. degree in biochemistry, he began a career in research at the Medical Department Field Research Lab at Ft. Knox.

He attended the University of Louisville and with a degree in chemistry, he was accepted into the University of Louisville Medical School. When asked why he did not go to medical school, he replied, "It was expensive. I'll try real estate."

He was a persistent sales person who refused to take "NO" personally, but continued to canvas neighborhoods until people began to know the real estate man that walked with the limp. It was through his sales and repeat customers that he became known for his HONESTY and INTEGRITY, which is the mission statement of our office to this day.
