JEFFERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS
Jefferson County Schools (JCPS) educate more than 98,000 students in 89 elementary schools, 24 middle schools, 22 high schools and 22 other learning centers. The school system was recently named one of the top five urban school districts in the U.S. by the Broad Foundation. JCPS offers magnet, optional and advance programs that focus on special interests, including math/science technology, visual and performing arts, telecommunications, language immersion, environmental education, aviation, marine biology, robotics, internationl studies, highway construction and computer-assisted design and drafting.
